Book Drop
The library has a book & video drop in the parking lot (east) side of the building.
Library Cards:
For Wisconsin residents, your library card is FREE. The charge for non-residents (out-of-state) is $45.00.
Patrons must be registered and have a valid library card to borrow library materials. If you do not have your library card, you can use a current photo ID to check out one time. You may not check out library materials without a library card or photo ID.
Adults residing in Wisconsin may apply for a library card at the Prescott Public Library with a current Wisconsin Driver’s License or State ID.
The Prescott Library is part of the MORE library system, a group of libraries in west-central Wisconsin that share their collections. Library cards from the Prescott Public Library are valid at any participating MORE library.
Children's Cards: Children age 5 and older may apply for their own card. A parent or legal guardian must co-sign the registration card, and is financially responsible for late fees, and fees for lost or damaged materials.
Lost Cards: A patron who loses their card should notify the library as soon as possible to prevent fraudulent use of the card. There is a $1.00 charge for replacement cards.

Materials must be returned by closing time on the day they are due or a fine will be charged. There is a library material drop box on the East side of the building by parking lot.
No renewals on materials that have a hold or are on the reserve list. To renew an item, call the library at 715-262-5555; bring the item to the library; or renew the item through the MORE online catalog.
Interlibrary Loans
Materials not held by the Prescott Public Library or the other MORE libraraies may be available from another library. Ask for assistance at the Circulation Desk.
The library has several public computers with access to the Internet, word processing & spreadsheet applications with Microsoft Office, magazine & newspaper databases, and a Federal Tax form database which are always available while the library is open. Login to the public computers with your library card number. Library card holders may use Internet access computers for up to 1-1/2 hours per day.
The library has a coin-operated photocopy machine. B&W copies are $.10 per page/side and color copies are $.50 per page/side. The photocopy machine also doubles as our public color printer and accepts print jobs from the library's public computers for the same cost as photocopying.
The library can send or receive faxes. Please ask for help at the circulation desk. Sending faxes costs $.50 per page/side. Receiving faxes costs $.10 per page/side.
The library has a public meeting room that groups can use. There is no charge for using the meeting room, but groups must fill out an application and bring it to the library before their meeting will be scheduled in the room reservation calendar.
