Events & ProgramsComputer and Technology ClassesMake a New Year's resolution to take a free computer class at the Prescott Public Library. Our classes are designed to help you become more comfortable with computers, the Internet and e-mail. Computer Classes in February 2012 OverDrive Workshop on Wednesday, Feb. 22 from 6:00-7:30 pm. How to find and download ebooks and digital audiobooks from the MORE online catalog to read or listen to on your Kindle, Nook, Sony eReader, iPod, iPad, cell phone and other devices. REGISTRATION IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS WORKSHOP. You've Got E-Mail on Thursday, Feb. 23 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Setting up an e-mail account, sending and downloading attachments, spam, and more. Computer Basics on Saturday, Feb. 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Introduction to using a computer, including parts of the computer, using the mouse, accessing programs, documents and pictures, and external storage. Space is limited and registration is required unless otherwise noted. Call the library at 715-262-5555 to reserve your spot or to find out more. The library provides a laptop for each attendee, or you may bring your own laptop if you prefer. Classes are divided into a 45-minute instruction period and a 45-minute practice period where you can get individualized help with your questions and tasks.
